Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) has achieved yet another historic high by registering a throughput of 7.301 million TEUs for fiscal 2024-25, a significant 13.55% growth over the 6.43 million TEUs it handled in 2023-24.

Sharad Wagh, IRS, appreciated the dedication of terminal operators and addressed the stakeholders’ meet at the Port.
Emphasising JNPA’s forward-thinking strategies during the stakeholders’ meeting Mr. Wagh, stated, “JNPA’s record handling of 7.3 million TEUs in FY 2024-25 reflects its evolution as a model port, setting benchmarks in efficiency, sustainability, and global competitiveness.
The numbers reflect more than just volume; they speak of the hard work put in across terminals, the trust of our trade partners, and the seamless coordination that keeps India’s gateway port running.
Terminal Wise Performance: BMCT handled 2.27 million TEUs, followed by APMT with 2.078 million TEUs. NSICT came next with 1.207 million TEUs and NSIGT was at 1.129 million TEUs.
Nhava Sheva Freeport Terminal handled 594,260 TEUs, with Nhava Sheva Distribution Terminal’s volume touching 20,445 TEUs, stated a release.
