Dr. Deependra Singh, CMD of IREL (India) Ltd, (formerly known as Indian Rare Earths Limited-A Public Sector Undertaking) recently interacted with Visakhapatnam Steel Plant’s (RINL) CMD Mr Atul Bhatt.

During the interaction, Dr. Singh evinced keen interest in RINL’s special steel products.

As per RINL the meeting not only showcased the commitment of both organizations towards collaboration but also laid the foundation for potential advancements in steel technology.

Recognizing the significance of innovation in the steel sector, Dr. Singh enquired about RINL’s specialized offerings and expressed interest in exploring avenues for their application. 

In a forward-looking approach, he suggested the incorporation of rare materials into steel production processes to unlock advanced functionalities and enhance performance.

Dr. Singh further emphasized the potential for joint research and development (R&D) initiatives between IREL and RINL.
