HSL to build tug for VPA

Visakhapatnam Port Authority recently signed a contract agreement with Hindustan Shipyard Ltd. To build a 60T BP TUG.

VPA in a release stated that the contract signed is for “Design and Construction of 60 Ton Bollard Pull Tug” as per ASTDS.

The Agreement was signed by Capt. T. Srinivas, Deputy Conservator, VPA, and Cmde Girideep Singh, (IN Retd) and Director, (Ship Building), HSL. It was further informed that the completion of 60T Bollard Pull Tug would be done in 18 months from the date of signing of the Agreement.

The Tug shall be built as per State of Art Technology duly ensuring safety standards and would cater to the movement of vessels into the Harbour in order to provide seamless movements and would help in increase of cargo throughput in the coming days said the release from Visakhapatnam Port.
