Collects Rs 510 crore in FY25, Stands No 1 in AP

The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation has come out with flying colours as it topped the charts in property and vacant land tax collection for the financial year 2024-25. The corporation collected Rs 510 crores which stood as the highest in the state.

AP’s Municipal Administration and Urban Development Principal Secretary Mr. S. Suresh Kumar presented the best performance award to GVMC Additional Commissioner Mr. S.S. Verma in Vijayawada.

The award was given to GVMC in recognition of the honest contribution of homeowners and property tax payers in Visakhapatnam city, said Visakhapatnam District Collector and GVMC In-charge Commissioner M.N. Harendhira Prasad. He lauded the efforts of the GVMC officials in achieving this recognition.
