DCI inks pact with IIT-M, IMU for M.Tech prog.

Dredging Corporation of India, Visakha- patnam recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-M), and Indian Maritime University, Chennai to launch National Joint M.Tech Programme on “Dredging Engineering.” This MOU aims to address the growing demand for skilled professionals in the maritime industry and contribute to the development of the Maritime sector. 

The MoU was signed between its MD and CEO S Divakar and representatives of IIT Madras and IMU Chennai in the presence of Union Minister for Ports, Shipping & Waterways and Ayush, Mr. Sarbananda Sonowal, at the Stakeholder’s meet held at Indian Agricultural Research Institute in New Delhi.

This exchange of MOU represents a significant milestone in the efforts to enhance research, innovation, and technology development in maritime infrastructure and dredging operations.
