Mandates swift implementation of E-Office

The Chief Minister Mr Nara Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to expedite the file clearance process in the e-office system.

In a recent meeting with ministers and secretaries at the Secretariat, RTGS CEO Mr K. Dinesh Kumar IAS gave a presentation on the progress of e-office file clearance across various departments.

RTGS CEO informed that in some government departments, the average file clearance time is three days, whereas in some others, delays persist.

The CM expressed his concern that some officers in certain departments have been holding files for six months to a year, which he deemed an improper practice and unacceptable. He therefore emphasised the need to speed up the clearance of files in government offices.

Mr Naidu instructed secretaries and department heads to review where files were getting stuck, identify the reasons for delays, and resolve them promptly. He stated that while there are two types of files—financial and non-financial—non-financial files should never be left pending.

For financial files, he advised officials to review budget-related matters within their respective departments and ensure swift clearance.

The Chief Minister therefore reiterated that all departments must fully adopt the e-office system by the end of February. An assessment of its implementation will be conducted to ensure compliance.

He emphasised the importance of expediting file processing, particularly financial files, which should not remain pending for extended periods. Officials were instructed to review bottlenecks, identify delays, and implement swift resolutions.

WhatsApp Governance Mr Naidu also directed officials to make all government services accessible through WhatsApp so that people no longer need to visit government offices. He emphasized that all departments should strengthen their backend mechanisms accordingly.

Underscoring the importance of industrial development in the state Chief Minister Mr Nara Chandrababu Naidu has advocated for strong Industrial development which can propel the state towards path of progress.

“All sectors must grow together. The industrial sector’s growth rate must increase from 6.57% to 16%, the environment sector to 18%, and the construction sector to 10%” said the CM at the recently held Ministers and Secretaries Conference.

“That is why significant incentives are being provided for industrial development. The establishment of industries will lead to employment opportunities and economic growth for the state. Through the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub, Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry, Anantapur, and Tirupati are being developed into major industrial hubs,” he said.

Everyone must embrace new ideas and foster an innovation-driven culture. Andhra Pradesh must evolve into an ‘Andhra Valley,’ similar to Silicon Valley, the CM said.

Industrial Expansion and Economic Growth Industries, Commerce, and Food Processing Secretary Dr N Yuvaraj IAS detailed strategic efforts to enhance industrial growth through MSMEs and sector-specific policies.

The government is working towards establishing 175 industrial parks across all constituencies and setting up plug-and-play industrial parks with Rs 2,500 crore he said.

To boost port and fishing industries, the government is accelerating work on major projects, including Ramayapatnam Port, which is 52.91% complete, Machilipatnam Port at 31%, Mulapeta Port at 32%, and Kakinada Gateway Port at 24%.

Additionally, the Bhogapuram Airport is set to be completed by March 2026 and will be named after Alluri Sitarama Raju. A 300-acre Drone City is also being developed to promote innovation in drone technology.
