Banks and Financial institutions which play a paramount role in lending to MSMEs have achieved 92% of their FY 25 target loan disbursement amount as of December 2024.
As per the recent SLBC meeting banks disbursed a sum of Rs 79,905 crores to MSMEs during the current fiscal from April 2024 to Dec 2024.
The overall target set for banks and financial institutions to lend to the MSME sector is Rs 87,000 crores for FY 25 thereby meeting 92% of their target.
Of the total disbursed amount till Dec 2024 the highest share was disbursed to micro enterprises at Rs 39,537 crores followed by small enterprises at Rs 24,410 crores and medium enterprises at Rs 15,573 crores.
Similarly in fresh loans (i.e. new to bank customers) it was stated that banks made total MSME advances to about Rs 19,980 crores of which micro enterprises were allocated Rs 11,953 crores, small enterprises Rs 5092 crores and medium enterprises Rs 2844 crs.
The overall total composition of advances made to the MSME sector in AP as of December 31st 2024 stood at Rs 113,734 crores.
