Abu Dhabi firm keen to invest in AP

Firm specialises in genomics, environmental med tech & biotech

Health Minister Mr Y. Satya Kumar has said that an Abu Dhabi-based firm, M42, has expressed an interest in investment in AP’s healthcare sector.

Stating this at a meeting he held with the health officials in Mangalagiri recently, the minister said, “We have explained to the firm’s representatives about the opportunities for investment in business and also in the service sectors.”

The minister said M42 has immense experience in the fields of genomics, environmental med tech and biotech.

He highlighted that AP is more suitable for investments & there is a Bulk Drug Park in the State. He discussed the benefits of AP Med Tech Zone spread over about 170 acres. 

He explained the importance of gemomic sequence technology would be introduced in hospitals to improve the living standards of individuals. The Minister also explained them about the three Economic corridors sanctioned by the Central Government. 

Mr Satya Kumar also said that there is an opportunity to invest in health city in Amaravati region or in health hubs in nine selected  municipalities. 

The Minister said that the government will provide all support and assistance to them. Special Chief Secretary of Medical Health Department Mr. M.T. Krishna Babu, Principal Secretary of Industries Department Dr.Y.Yuvraj, APMSIDC MD Mr. Lakshmi Shah participated in the meeting.
