While India’s metro cities have rapidly embraced electric vehicle sharing, Tier-2 cities like Visakhapatnam have historically faced a significant gap in smart, sustainable transport. This disparity catalyzed Revz Electrix Mobility, a startup that is moving beyond simple vehicle rentals to build a comprehensive green ecosystem across Andhra Pradesh.
Founder Sivaji Sharma Kavikondala’s journey began in 2022 after witnessing the efficiency of EV models in Bangalore. Recognizing that Vizag offered a unique, commute-friendly landscape within a fifty-kilometer radius, he spent months researching market pain points, from range anxiety to the high cost of vehicle ownership.
The startup’s evolution involved a crucial strategic pivot. While initially inspired by dockless European models, the team recognized that local operational challenges, including civic sense and vandalism required a more structured approach.
Consequently, RevZ transitioned to a sophisticated subscription-based model. By establishing third-party tie-ups with Pan-India e-commerce giants, the company now provides green fleets to delivery partners for services like Zomato and Big Basket.
This ensures that the vehicles are responsibly managed by dedicated riders while providing a seamless, affordable mobility solution for the city’s growing gig economy.
Infrastructure remains the core of the RevZ mission. To eliminate range anxiety, the company is deploying an integrated battery-swapping system and ultra-fast charging stations capable of powering high-end EVs in just 15-20 minutes.
Looking ahead to the end of 2026, the company started with 10 fleets and aims to expand to 600 scooters across six major cities, including Tirupati and Vijayawada.
Driven by the “three Ps” of patience, persistence, and perseverance, Sivaji is proving that local innovation can successfully navigate complex state policies and financial hurdles. RevZ Electrix is not just providing a ride; it is paving a methodical, sustainable path for the future of Andhra Pradesh.
