Andhra Pradesh’s Minister for MSME, SERP, NRI Relations & Empowerment, Mr. Kondapalli Srinivas, recently visited Sri City wherein he got an opportunity to tour the integrated business city’s sprawling development.
Sri City’s founder managing director, Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy welcomed the minister and presented him an overview of Sri City’s rapid growth while also pointing out that a significant share of industries in Sri City are MSMEs, contributing meaningfully to job creation, innovation, and supply chain strength.
In an interaction with CXOs of various units the Minister lauded Sri City’s infrastructure, scale, and employment generation, calling it a model for planned development.
He commended Dr. Sannareddy for creating a truly investor-friendly ecosystem. Reaffirming the government’s vision under Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu, he said the new Industrial Policy aims for a Vikasit Andhra Pradesh by 2047, with focus on balanced growth, startup support, skill development, and faster project execution. He assured strong support for logistics infrastructure and prompt resolution of industry issues.
Skill Development
Emphasising large-scale MSME promotion, the minister urged the industry to initiate vendor and skill development programmes, and invited suggestions to make Andhra Pradesh a leading industrial state.
Participants got to engage actively with the Minister, sharing their views and seeking clarifications on various matters.
Among the various suggestions one was the establishment of an MSME park nearby to accommodate activities which are not permitted within Sri City due to its status as a green industrial zone. Dr. Sannareddy thanked the Minister for his visit.
