GoAP Inks Defence MoUs worth Rs 2,400 Crs

The Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB) signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with 4 Aerospace & Defence Companies at the recently held AeroIndia 2025 in Bengaluru.

The MoUs are with four leading aerospace and defence companies marking a significant step towards strengthening the state’s industrial ecosystem.

As per an official release from the government the agreements collectively represent an investment of Rs 2,458.84 crores and are expected to generate 8000+ direct and indirect empoyment opportunities.

The companies entering into these strategic partnerships include Sagar Defence Engineering Pvt Ltd, a pioneer in maritime defence and unmanned surface vehicle technologies; HFCL, a key player in defence manufacturing; Media Matrix Worldwide Limited, and a company specialized in space technology components.

The MoUs were formalized in the presence of  Minister for Industries & Commerce and Food Processing, Mr T.G. Bharath, along with Dr. N Yuvaraj, IAS, Secretary, Industries & Commerce and Food Processing Department, ITE&C, Infrastructure and Investment & senior representatives from GoAP.

This investment reinforces Andhra Pradesh’s commitment towards  a premier defence manufacturing hub.
