As part of the government’s plans to establish a drone hub in Orvakal of Kurnool district, Andhra Pradesh Drone Corporation, CMD, Mr K. Dinesh Kumar recently inspected potential sites for the hub in the region.

He, along with local revenue officials, examined lands in Orvakal, Palakolanu, Komarolu, Chintapalle, and Somayajulapalle villages to identify suitable locations for the drone hub which is slated to come up on 300 acres.

Mr Dinesh later held a review with officials regarding land acquisition for the hub wherein the officials explained that there could be some challenges in acquiring land in Palakolanu village due to the presence of a stream, in Komarolu due to forest land, and in Somayajulapalle due to certain land-related issues.

They also mentioned that the presence of an airport in Orvakal could complicate land acquisition. However, they identified some suitable land near Chintapalle, Palakolanu, and Komarolu for the hub.

During his discussions with the officials, Dinesh Kumar stated that the Chief Minister is strongly committed to establishing Orvakal as a drone hub and that the government is treating this project as a prestigious one.

He emphasized that the establishment of the drone hub would provide significant employment opportunities in the area and advised officials to give utmost priority to the acquisition of land for the hub.

The CMD urged them to proceed with the land acquisition process as quickly as possible and also suggested that revenue and APIIC officials work closely together for better coordination in identifying and acquiring suitable lands.

Inspection of District RTGS Centre

Mr Dinesh Kumar also inspected the construction of the Real-Time Governance Society (RTGS) district center in Kurnool district.

He instructed the officials to complete the district RTGS centers as quickly as possible. He explained that the government is setting up a special RTGS district center in each district, connected to the district collectorate.

This will enable real-time monitoring and review of government schemes, events, and incidents in those districts.

He emphasized that these centers should be given top priority, and their construction should be completed within the set timelines.

Inspection of the Fiber Net Center

Dinesh Kumar, in his capacity as CMD of Andhra Pradesh Fiber Net, also inspected the Fiber Net center in Kurnool district.
