Fire Safety seminar held at Pharma City

An exclusive one-day seminar on fire safety was recently conducted for the stakeholders of the Jawaharlal Nehru Pharma City at Parawada in Visakhapatnam.

Organised by the Fire and Security Association of India (FSAI) the aim of the event was to create more awareness on fire safety. Some of the discussions held included precautions while inculcating building design, HVAC design, and management change.

The Chief guest Regional Fire Officer, Visakhapatnam Mr D Niranjan Reddy, appreciated the efforts taken by FSAI in creating fire awareness camps, which he said is the only NGO taking care of fire safety aspects other than government organizations.

He narrated a recent accident in the pharma industry due to negligence of people though all safety compliances and precautions were in place.

National President of FSAI Mr Srinivas Valluri urged the delegates to take part in FSAI activities by which regular seminars can be conducted about technological developments and upgradation of knowledge in the field of fire and security aspects. 

The Regional Director of South FSAI Mr S Prasad Raju assured to provide special training in fire safety areas to inculcate safety in day-to-day activities and to upgrade the knowledge.
