Major Port Visakhapatnam port authority is inviting applications from eligible ITI candidates for engaging as Trade Apprenticeship for the year 2024-2025.

As per an official release from VPA the apprenticeship program is for profiles like Welder, Electrician, fitter, Motor Mechanic, Electronics Mechanic respectively in the Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Department.

The training period is 1 year for each trade wherein the selected candidate will be paid a monthly stipend starting from Rs.8344.60 to Rs.9387.67. Candidates should have completed minimum 14 years of age as on 31-12-2024 said the release from VPA’s secretary Mr T. Venu Gopal.

Interested applicants can apply for engagement as Trade Apprentices through on-line portal: https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in on or before 18-01-2025. TA & DA will not be paid by VPA for attending certificate verification, said the release.

It further added that the reservation of training placements, for the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes shall be as per Rule of reservation.
