Turn waste into wealth: Dy.CM, Pawan Kalyan

The Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Mr. Pawan Kalyan has said that if scientific methods are followed new wealth can be created even from waste. 

Introduction of creative techniques in managing solid and liquid waste will put permanent end to garbage problem in the state.

The Deputy Chief Minister was speaking at a recently inaugurated exhibition titled Garbage to Gold. The exhibition was organized by Solid and Liquid Resource Management (SLRM) centre on the procedures to be followed for the management of solid and liquid waste in villages and various products can be produced from them. 

On the occassion Mr. Pawan Kalyan said waste management has become a challenge for local bodies & that Scientific research is being conducted on solid and liquid waste management. 

The Deputy CM wanted the Panchayat Raj & Rural Development Department to conduct a workshop on waste management with experts involving Panchayatiraj representatives. 

Mr. Pawan Kalyan said that by organizing these kinds of workshops, the awareness of waste management will increase  which inturn will help in creating more jobs.

In its recently held AGM, the Vizagapatam Chamber of Commerce & Industry (VCCI) announced that Mr Sudarshan Swamy shall continue to serve as its president for a two-year period i.e. from 2024 to 2026. 

My Swamy had taken over the reins of VCCI presidency last year due to the exit of the earlier president.

The present office bearers of VCCI include Mr Sudarsan Swamy of SM Renergy as President, Mr Ravi Godey of Grand Central Hotel as Vice President, Mr P Rajesh of PBL Transport Corporation Pvt Ltd as Secretary and Mr Pawan Gunturu of Sprint Exports as Treasurer.

Thanking the members for reposing their faith in him Mr Swamy illustrated his plans for the next year which included making the VCCI more vibrant and responsive to its members, working closely with the Govt to try and bring in more investments to Vizag so as to generate more employment opportunities.

In addition he said VCCI shall also take up issues being faced by members so as to improve the ease of doing business, enable the members to get more exposure to AI and also take up other social initiatives.
