Oberoi goes big in AP

Begins work on 3 luxurious hotels

The prestigious Oberoi group of hotels and resorts has initiated works on 3 of its super luxury hotels in Andhra Pradesh.

The chief minister Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy along with Mr Vikram Oberoi, Managing Director of Oberoi Hotels and Resorts recently laid the foundation stone for three 7-star luxury hotels in the state.

These 3 properties are slated to come up in a span of 4 years with one each at Gandikota in Kadapa, Visakhapatnam, and Tirupati.

In Visakhapatnam the super luxury hotel is coming up at Annavaram Coastal Village of Bheemili mandal. The site is said to be just 8 kilometers away from the Bhogapuram International airport.

Speaking on the occasion, District Collector Dr. Mallikarjuna said this Rs. 350 crore project is expected to be completed in four years. Around 300 villas would be built and 5,500 people would get job opportunities leading to economic prosperity in this region, he added. 

The Oberoi project would be developed in an extent of 42 acres belonging to the Department of Tourism located on the beach, many international tourists were expected to visit Visakhaptnam. 

The Chief Minister asked the district administration to provide all support for the speedy completion of the project. 

The Collector further stated that Visakhapatnam district has received investment worth Rs. 26,000 crore within 65 days, which were signed at the last global investors’ summit held in Visakhapatnam.
