Back in the day securing a good old government job used to be a prized possession. Bringing some of that glory back at least from a search perspective is a startup named Adhoc Network.
Founded by Ms. Devika Pakruthi in 2020, this APIS incubated startup is a platform for IAS and other government job aspirants to find the right information on jobs for Indian Administrative Services, Banking, SSC, Railways, Teaching, PSUs, Police, Army, Navy, and many such government sector jobs.
The platform provides aspirants to avail updates on the latest job vacancies, important dates, list of required documents, applications, and alerts to help them find jobs in the above-mentioned public-sector organizations.
In addition it also provides candidates with mock tests through their personal assistance app which has a feature called progress bar where candidates can track their performance from time to time.
Although most of its revenues comes from its web development business there are other paid add-on services which it offers to job aspirants starting from just Rs 11.
In fact the app is soon planning to introduce a new feature wherein candidates can also avail loans to pursue their training for IAS and other government jobs if they crack an entrance test proving their ability.
Coupled with the above and armed with a vision of paving the path toward affordable learning the startup also offers training in various software programs thereby giving opportunity to students to both learn and become employable.
“Technology should be cost-effective to both rural and urban sections of our society. No technology should suppress the interest of upskilling, it should be made available to both the rural and urban sections irrespective of anything” stated Ms. Devika.
In fact it recently started a computer lab in a rural place Anandapuram, Visakhapatnam to impart training to low-income aspirants on computer courses such as MS Word, data entry, and other programming languages such as C, and C++.
