With a view of attracting significant investments into the IT and electronics sector in Andhra Pradesh the state government has identified certain locations across the state for developing IT parks.

Apart from a keen focus being given to Beach IT in Vizag the government is also looking to further develop the IT concept cities model in the locations of Bhogapuram, Tirupati and Anantapur.

‘We have identified land in Bhogapuram, two in Tirupati and two in Anantapur for IT parks’ said Mr Kiran Reddy, Group CEO APEITA, while addressing the Infinity Vizag summit in Vizag recently.

To be developed on PPP mode these parks are being planned to be constructed in an extent of 100-1000 acres which are close to major IT destinations such as Visakhapatnam, Chennai and Bengaluru.
‘Interested investors can just put in a request on the APEITA website and our dedicated relationship manager will help them navigate the region’ noted Mr Kiran Reddy.

Of the two IT parks identified in Anantapur one of them is also being developed for Drones.

The state’s IT policy which came into being in 2021 offers a slew of incentives such as employment incentives i.e. 10% of annual salary capped to INR 1 lakh per job for high end IT jobs, INR 75,000 per job for mid-level IT jobs, INR 50,000 per job for entry level IT jobs.

Similarly it also offers work for home up to Rs 20,000 per employment for IT hardware enabling work for home, 50% reimbursement on quality certification upto Rs 5 lakhs per firm and many other such incentives.
